TKH announces that agreement has been reached to take a majority stake of 57.5% in KLS Nederland (‘KLS’) located in Almere and Hoogeveen. KLS delivers unique technology for medicine distribution from producer to consumer.
KLS develops and produces systems and software for the wholesalers, pharmacies and consumers. With KLS’ technology great efficiency improvements can be realized in the chain of medicine dispensing in the form of a higher productivity, less medication failure and a higher therapy loyalty. By consequently applying the technology of KLS, billions of Euros can be saved in Europe. With the IDQare concept a higher therapy loyalty is realised through the use of medicine dispensers combined with information storage on the medicine use. This results in a big saving on healthcare costs. Besides IDQare, the systems of KLS are known under the brand names Medicomaat and Centralfilling.

De Expopharm is Dusseldorf was weer een groot succes. Veel nieuwe producten werden gepresenteerd, waaronder de KLS PRL. Een machine om lange strengen met blisterzakjes per patient te verdelen, op te rollen en te lijmen. De gelegde contacten zijn waardevol en een drukke periode met het opvolgen van de leads gaat beginnen.
Ook zijn er op de beurs weer enkle deals gesloten wat het geheel tot een groot succes heeft gemaakt.

Pharmacy Hanzeland moved
Last February KLS Netherlands moved the Medicomaat for Apotheek Hanzeland to the new building.
Invited by the CDA of the province Gelderland and employers’ organization VNO-NCW, Minister Jan Kees de Jager was a guest in Nunspeet in the region Veluwe on the 9th of February. In a well filled house with interested parties Mr. Bert Draaijer spoke about the KLS concept.
Hirsch Apotheke (D) chooses KLS!
Hirsch Pharmacy in Germany starts to build a centre for blister activities and a possible Central Filling model for the German market. The blister centre is expected to be opened by the end of 2011. At the moment Hirsch, together with health insurers, will look into the possibility of setting up a growth scenario for the next 5 years. Besides that, KLS Netherlands will look into the possibility of developing an optimal process flow for this new blister model.
Medicomaat Pharmacy Lichtenbelt
Last week, on Tuesday 11th of January the First ‘Stand Alone Medicomaat’ of 2011 has been installed with Pharmacy Lichtenbelt in Huissen. This Ultimate service instrument does not only generate an extra distribution point in the pharmacy but also provides an extra service, wished for by the clients. Their clients can pick up their medication any time they want, without the interference from the pharmacist.
